At 2713 Advising, we help hockey players and their families navigate the ever-changing world of hockey development. Our mission is to guide players toward the right path for their goals both on and off the ice by providing honest, informed advice and a clear understanding of today's hockey landscape.
From youth hockey through high school, juniors, and college, we work with each player individually to find the best fit for their development and long-term success — whether that's placement on a full-season midget team, prep school program, junior team, or college hockey opportunity. We also provide guidance on offseason training and offer on- and off-ice sessions for our players.
Throughout the year, we host informative seminars that connect players and families with leaders in the game — professional scouts, college coaches, and junior coaches.
We've partnered with Shift Vision to provide detailed video breakdown and performance analysis, giving players a deeper understanding of their game and the tools to keep improving.

The People Behind the Process
Dan Szerlip
Hockey has always been a big part of Dan's life — as a player, a coach, and now as an advisor helping the next generation reach their goals. At 2713 Advising, Dan combines years of experience behind the bench and in player development with a genuine passion for helping players and families navigate the often confusing world of youth, prep, junior, and college hockey.
Before joining 2713 Advising, Dan spent over a decade coaching at the youth, midget, junior, and college levels, helping players develop their skills and move on to successful college careers. Those experiences gave him a deep understanding of what it takes to move from one level to the next — and just how different every player's path can be.
What sets Dan apart is his honest and personal approach. He takes the time to get to know every player and family he works with, ensuring they understand their options and feel confident in their decisions. As a former player himself, Dan understands the demands, sacrifices, and rewards that come with pursuing hockey at a high level.
Caitrin Lonergan
Caitrin brings an elite player's perspective to 2713 Advising, having competed at the highest levels of the women's game. Her experience navigating prep, junior, and college hockey gives her firsthand insight into the decisions, opportunities, and challenges families face at every stage of the journey.
She has worked closely with coaches, scouts, and program directors across North America, and uses those relationships to help players find the right environments — academically, athletically, and personally. Caitrin is especially passionate about supporting female athletes and broadening the pathway for the next generation of women's hockey players.
Her approach is direct, organized, and deeply personal. Caitrin believes that the right plan only works when it's built around the individual — their goals, their development timeline, and the people around them.
